Key Chains + PDGC = disc golf in the school system

Thanks to efforts put forth by the ladies at Key Chains Bike & Disc, we have begun disc golf in the school system in our area! Today (Friday 9/17) Ronda Key and myself, Adam Drake, spent the day at Edwins Elementary School teaching kids about disc golf and how to throw! It was a HUGE success, almost every kid enjoyed it and many asked when we'll be coming back. One child had even called the store just after school was out to ask about a custom dye for a disc when he found out that was possible. Ronda brought a basket from the store and many of her family's discs, I brought my basket and a few discs I had. We helped every physical education class scheduled for the day and are looking forward to going back to Edwins again when possible. We are also hopeful with, and are looking into, getting into more schools in the area! A HUGE THANKS to Ronda and Teresa Key for going beyond expectations and helping our community (both disc golf and otherwise) with everything going on!!! We wouldn't see anywhere near the progress we do without such amazing members as we have in these two! Thank you so much for everything you two do to help!

Spoke with the Coach this a.m. and he is extremely pleased with how everything went on Friday! Also spoke with our Innova rep, and he will be sending out everything we need for the other schools !! Woot Woot.....what a positive

I can't thank you guys enough for everything that is happening in our disc golf community and I am extremely pleased to be a part of it.

I would love to get it into Shalimar Elementary! myself being a former Shalimar Dolphin and knowing there is a huge field behind the school it would be awesome to get to throw with the kids there. I would be more than happy to go speak with the faculty at Shalimar Elementary if you think that would help!

Also I went to Choctaw today and spoke with Mr. Soria and I am in the process of getting paperwork done to be a proxy-sponsor for the Choctaw Disc Golf Club!

Maybe we could get Luke's help in getting into Middle School while he's still there?

Have scheduled Elliott Point & Shalimar Elem.......working on an exact date for Liza Jackson Here we go!!!!

I have scheduled with Elliott Point Elem for a FULL WEEK of disc golf at their school

The coach is absolutely ecstatic about this and has asked that we be there everyday from 8-2, with EVERY PE class!!! Ronda, Jeff, Drake.....you guys ROCK!!!

GREAT week at Elliotts Point! The kids and the coaches were all excited to have us at the school again. Its always a pleasure to work with Coach Bandfield and her kids! Looking forward to the next time.
