Can I do anything to help get ready for the Ace Race? Will be happy to help.

hey guys and galls we just had are ace race. and the disc plays like a Aero , big , heavy weights , not to stable , can get it to hyzer tho with some good snap. going to be a good disc for Ferry park. have fun and hit those aces

Have spoken with Discraft this morning and depending on the out come of the members meeting the TD for this event can be changed or I can re-apply! I explained the issues our club is going through and was informed that it wouldn't be a problem!

It is of my opinion that the TD should be someone involved in the club, one who cares about the goings on and happenings of the club! If your not going to do your day to day responsibilities of your position in the club then you shouldnt be TD for the Ace Race.

With this said, I nominate TK for TD of this event! She did a wonderful job with Lifes a Beach and has a good support staff for things she needs done!

Nope.... you will have to pre-register and pay prior to the event so that the packs can be ordered! More info to come ASAP hopefully

Heres the info on the 2011 Ace Race


Playground Disc Golf Club Is Proud To Present:

The 2011 Ace Race at Ferry Park Fort Walton Beach,FL. Oct. 2 2011

Entry Fee: $25- pre-registration is required!

Check In: 8 a.m to 9:15 a.m Players meeting at 9:45

Tee Off: 10 a.m

Player pack includes: All 2011 participants receive a player's pack that includes two discs, a mini, sticker and a golf bag! A value over 50 bucks, your entry fee is only $25!

Rules: Players are required to use the player pack discs ONLY! We will be playing 2 rounds
with one toss per hole (special shortened holes). Each player will keep their own scorecard
marking an "A" for ace and "M" for metal. The player with the most aces or most metal if there are no aces after 2 rounds will win the grand prize.

Register: You can register with Teresa and Ronda @ Key Chains Bike and Disc Golf Store across from the Fort Walton Beach Post Office. Don't forget pre-registration is required! There will be no sign ups the day of. You have until September 15th to register.

We will also have ring of fires after the ace race as well as something a little extra , to be announced shortly!!

Thank you TK for handling the Ace Race. I knew you being the TD would get things moving and on the right track.

My heartburn is already getting better now that I know for sure the new and old golfers won't be let down.

I just got off the phone with Brian Sullivan at Discraft. He informed me that as of 11:25 am 8/31/11 Jeff Melogsa had not contacted him via phone or email. He then instructed me to right an email stating what was going on, and what we are doing to fix the problem. Here is the email I sent him,

Hello Brian
My name is Ronda Key. I am the Vice President of the PDGC. We have held the last 2 Ace Races in our area under our Pres. name. (Jeff Melgosa) We are on the schedule to have our ace race on Oct 2nd 2011. Since the time Jeff Melgosa applied for our ace race, he has resigned from our club. We have taken the necessary steps to ensure our members and new golfers that the ace race will still be held with the TD now being Teresa Key. She has been the TD of several of our events and has done an outstanding job!

We (Teresa and I) have golfers signing up at our store (KeyChains Bike & Disc) and are posting fliers at the necessary places to get the word out.

I for one do not want Jeff to TD the Ace Race! Due to his lack of help with anything else to do with the club I would rather him not be able to TD our Ace Race!

I personally would rather know that its all taking care of, rather than wondering what is going on! I have been assured by Discraft that this is no problem, just a technicality to give Jeff one more chance to do the right thing.
