2010 Ace Race disc: The 2010 Ace Race prototype is a fast, overstable midrange. It has good speed for a mid, longer glide than you'll expect, and a medium strong
finish. When you turn it over it will always come back unless you
really torque it. Will hold a line in a moderate to strong headwind.
We are looking forward to hearing the chains you ring with it!

oh i'm so happy, i'm going to be seeing this disc in my dreams until I get to throw it, then it'll still be in my dreams, but also in my arms and bag ^_^

Heres the info on the 2010 Ace Race

Playground Disc Golf Club Is Proudly To Present:

The 2010 Ace Race at Ferry Park Fort Walton Beach,FL. Oct. 3 2010

Entry Fee: $25- pre-registration is required!

Check In: 9 a.m to 10 a.m Players meeting at 9:45

Tee Off: 10 a.m

Player pack includes: Two identical Discraft prototype discs made especially for Ace Race, plus a SuperColor mini, premium hat, sticker and a die-cast chrome bag tag. A $67 value!

Rules: Players are required to use the player pack discs ONLY! We will be playing 2 rounds
with one toss per hole (special shortened holes). Each player will keep their own scorecard
marking an "A" for ace and "M" for metal. The player with the most aces or most metal if there are no aces after 2 rounds will win the grand prize.

Register: You can register with the lovely ladies Teresa and Ronda @ Key Chains Bike and Disc Golf Store or you can register at Racetrack Ace hardware. Don't forget pre-registration is required! There will be no sign ups the day of. You have up until two weeks before the ace race to register.

Lunch will also be provided.


After the Ace Race we will also be having random draw doubles.
$10 dollars per person for AM and Pro division with a optional ace pot
100% pay out for both divisions. We will also have ring of fires before the doubles and after the doubles.

Has anyone signed up? Will there be a posted list of players? Looks like an all day event for disc golf, will we be able to play in the park that day if we are not in the events? I remember that the last event you had the park was closed to other disc golfers.

I am not sure how many have signed up yet, as we get a list we'll try to keep it posted and up to date.

The park will most likely be closed to disc golfers not in the tournaments, however you are not required to play in both, you can play one or the other, but both will be fun!

One of the Mobile guys from SNDG.org has given a glowing review for Ferry Park and the Ace Race this year...log in on southern nationals page and take a gander. Nice to hear

Hey guys just a little food for thought! If there were to be any issues with other disc golfers wanting to play during these scheduled events, the store would be happy to pay the $5.00 a head to the city to have the disc golf course closed....just let us know!!

YOU LADIES SO ROCK!!! *virtual high Fives* I cant thank you enough for all that you have done for the Disc Golf community and for the club! I do recall Jeff Peters saying that as long as we put back into the course that he would waive the $ per head. So here was the idea we came up with for we wouldn't have to pay the $5 dollar a head fee. Lance came across some 4x6 posts and what we planned on doing was putting the posts in at the holes along with pvc pipe making a place that would allow people to hang their bags on them. So I think when I talk to Jeff Peters about it, I don't think he will have a problem waiving the $ per head. So I believe that will be the plan. Thank you so much for offering to help. Again, you ladies rock!
