Food Toss Results for 9-22-11

Unfortunately, it got dark, and we had several DNF's.

I couldn't find the thread where we were talking about changing the food toss, so I just posted here.

Should we change the food toss to Saturdays?

I said in the other thread:

1.) I can do this Saturday (10-1), but I do not get off work until 2 pm, so I could run it starting at 3pm. Maybe sign up 3:00 and tee off at 3:30.

2.) When changed to Saturday, I will not be able to commit to every Saturday, so we need people to step up and volunteer. It would be nice if we could have two or three more people volunteer so we can each do one Saturday a month, but I do not know if that is feasible.

3.) I can still do all the paperwork, money, postings, etc., and I can teach others the system I use to make it easy! All they would need to do is pick up the box, run the food toss, and then get the box back to me. Maybe we could have a central pick up/drop off location.

Yes, I am in agreement that it needs to be changed to Saturdays! 3:00 is fine with me! I can help with running it.

Thanks, RK - I will start texting the regulars I have in my phone to let them know about the change. Guess I should probably go down there on Thursday to let anyone know that hasn't heard.

So is this going to be changed this week? If so then whoever does the facebook thing needs to send out a memo. I noticed a TON of people have facebook and actually are active on it.

Yes Rob. We will change the food toss to Saturdays beginning this week. On Saturday 10-1, we will do sign up at 3 (ish) and tee off at 3:30. I said 3ish, because I have to work until 2pm. I should be able to get there by 3pm with no problem.
Looking at the forecast, it's going to be beautiful all weekend too! Forecast is sunny and low 54, high 79 both Sat. and Sun., so this is a great time to change the food toss!
