Bad news. The base will not give us dirt or clay for the course.

I'll be there with the lawn tractor (riding mower) and the dump-trailer I have and a few shovles ... if we need more "yard tools" let me know as I have several shovles, rakes, weedeater that sorta stuff. OH .. and I'll try to remember the sledgehammer to free up the locking area for the #5 alternate hole location.

Ronda, if you'll bring the key (ba da bum ... ching) we can try to move that basket. I can't swear to it, but I may have some mineral spirits to try and get the black paint off the yellow belt that some jackwagon did too .

I'm guessing the vandalism was against the club as retaliation?

I found out where I bought the paint last time. It is Krylon Rust Tough Enamel. The color is Sun Yellow. It can be bought at Advance Auto Parts in front of Wal-Mart. I called Lowe's and Home Depot and they don't have it. I will buy a couple cans along with some primer and bring them out to the clean up. Ronda - you don't have to worry about the mineral spirits unless you want to. I think the primer will cover it just fine. I am going to make some wet paint signs and bring some tape. We can hang them on the baskets for the players to see. Any idea exactly how many baskets are damaged?

Basically any basket that had a certain individual's name on it...... Which happens to be almost every one of them because of "how many aces he has.". LOL lol! #15 is totally blacked out.

Also, there is a few tee boxes with ant beds in/around them..... I work til 1:00 tomorrow and will be out after

I would like thank all our members for the awesome job they did at Ferry yesterday! We had a great turn-out and the park looks awesome!

We also had a bunch of walkers/park goers comment on the job everyone was doing and were impressed and thankful!

There were some new golfers also inquiring about the club!

Thank you again, everyone did a great job!

I have got about 25 railroad ties donated to the club! I need help picking them up! Thought they would work to frame the tee boxes!

NOT SURE RAILROAD TIMBERS WILL BE A GOOD
IDEA. THEY CAN BE UNATTRACTIVE. MAY BE TO
BIG AND BULKY FOR THE JOB. FREE ISN'T ALWAYS
GOOD. MAYBE SOME OF THE BOD CAN LOOK
AT THEM TO SEE HOW THEY THINK THE TIMBERS
WOULD LOOK AROUND THE TEEBOX'S.

Were you thinking about removing sand out from UNDER the teebox and putting the RR tie in for support? I am not understanding what they would be used for. In other words, is it functional or cosmetic?

Actually, cosmetic would probably look really nice. It would be cool if we could make a step or two on the side of the 6 tee box. That is a big step down! It would also be nice to move the sign at 6. I think it is bad placement. I have run into it several times comming of the tee pad...of course, everyone knows how much of a clumsy doofus I am!

As far as helping, I have to work on Saturday till 2 pm, then food toss at 3pm.

I could probably do something on Monday or Tuesday afternoon!!

I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for", but I am also a firm believer in "beggers can't chooser's" !! Smile

Thought most of the ties wounldn't be shown, because they would have to be buried! Thats what the cake hole is made out of at BA.

Also, I thought I had asked the bod/others or I wouldn't have taken the time to persue the people that are donating them.

Yes the Railroad ties was discussed as a possible fix for the issues of the tee pads wasting away. We could also use them to outline the new "pro tees" that was roughed in with what was available on course. Should work till when/if we can get them concreted in.

Thanks for putting in the time and effort into getting these for the course. If you need any help moving them I have a dual axle trailer I use to hauling around my Drag car. Should make easy work of them depending on how many there are and we can move them in 1 trip.

well with Rob's trailer I just need to knwo when to bring the "gun show" to help with labor. we probably want to try adn put them close to where they'll be used like 6 (timbers) behind #3 tee box's 3 behind #6, ummm the rest we can prolly just put tucked back in that area to the right of #10's basket going to 11 where we had that temp basket for the life's a beach tourney.

Jon (sugarnot) stopped by the store this morning and informed me that someone had thrown the table (spool) into the creek last night! He dug it out and put it back! I for one sure would like to catch whoever is doing this!
